About the Artist

Melanie Meyer is an artist and photographer living a life of movement between the city of Cape Town and the remote, uninhabited wilderness of Southern Africa. Deeply inspired by nature and the quiet magic of everyday life, her work is rooted in a profound reverence for the Earth, whether found in inner-city gardens or vast, open landscapes. Growing up on a smallholding near Somerset West, much of her childhood was spent alone in fields and forests, where imagination, solitude and nature became her refuge. This early connection shaped a lifelong relationship with Mother Earth as her safe place and enduring source of creative energy.
